Watercolor through History is an eight-lesson, in-depth course for you who have some (or a lot of) experience with drawing and watercolor tracing the evolution and various usages of watercolor and water-based mediums.
Before I go any farther... when you enroll in any of my courses, you can absolutelycount on challenges, enlightenment, exceptional personal coaching and a lot of interesting fun.
Watercolor through History is what I call a practicum. By practicum I mean that you receive a slide show with lecture for each lesson exploring different artists and aspects of watercolor through the ages and receive a practical exercise in drawing and watercolor with video each week related to that lesson's slide show and lecture.
We also meet by phone and online for a weekly gathering to review our exercises, for personal coaching, to discuss our experiences and the watercolors and artists we're exploring.
Watercolor through History is a discovery process using watercolor artists who have practiced before us as guide posts for our personal development as painters.
Watercolor through History is one part of a four-module long course exploring the history of (mostly) western painting designed for aspiring and experienced watercolor artists.
How much time does it take?
For eight weeks, you receive an in-depth lesson with a one-hour slide show and lecture, another hour of demo and assignment, and our one-hour weekly class meeting. Together with creating your assignment, you should count on about five hours per week for eight weeks. (Of course, you can always spend more time on your assignment and supplemental reading).
While this course is designed for those who already draw and watercolor, ALL levels of skill are welcome... from beginners to experienced painters.
Watercolor through History Course tuition is $697
Watercolor through History starts on Wednesday, 18 April 2018 at 8 PM ET
Each class meeting is 1 hour. The course runs through 6 June 2018.
All class meetings are recorded so if you have to miss a meeting, you can listen in later. (If you miss a meeting, I'll explore your assignment work anyway and you can listen back to my remarks.)
Our course content is hosted on a private website that only you and your course mates have access to. We also have a private email for you to easily attach and mail your assignments for posting.
Again, this course give you personal coaching, challenges, enlightenment and a lot of interesting fun.
